अभिनेता इरफान खान
जगातील सर्वोत्कृष्ट कलाकारांमध्ये ज्यांची गणना होत होती असा सव्यासाची हरहुन्नरी अभिनेता इरफान खान याने आज जगाच्या रंगमंचावरून कायमची एक्झिट घेतली. देश विदेशातील कला क्षेत्रातील दिग्गजांसह त्याच्या सामान्य चाहत्यांनीही एक अनामिक हळहळ व्यक्त केली. हीच हळहळ त्याच्या सच्चा माणूसपणाची जाणीव करून देणारी आहे.
अभिनेता इरफान खानने हिंदी भाषेसह अनेक इंग्रजी भाषेच्या चित्रपटांमध्ये काम केले आहे. त्यांच्या चाहत्यांची संख्या लाखांमध्ये आहे. भारताव्यतिरिक्त, इरफानचे लाखो चाहते जगभरात पसरलेले आहेत. इरफान खान हा दिसण्यामध्ये एवढा काही सुंदर नव्हता, परंतु आपल्या उत्कृष्ट अभिनयाच्या जोरावर तो एक लोकप्रिय अभिनेता बनला. जगातील सर्वोत्कृष्ट कलाकारांमध्ये त्याचे नाव समाविष्ठ झालेले आहे. त्यामुळे प्रत्येकाला इरफानच्या वैयक्तिक आयुष्याबद्दल जाणून घ्यायचे होते. आजच्या त्यांच्या जाण्याने हे जाणून घेणे महत्वाचे ठरणार आहे.
शाहबजादे इरफान अली खान हे त्यांचे नाव. ७ जानेवारी १९६७ ला वडिल यासीन अली खान व आई सईदा बेगम यांच्या पोटी राजस्थानच्या जयपूर येथे त्यांचा जन्म झाला. यथावकाश सुतापा सिकंदर यांच्याशी त्यांचा विवाह झाला. आज २८ एप्रिल २०२० ला कँसर सारख्या दुर्धर आजाराने मुंबईत त्यांचे निधन झाले.
भारतीय चित्रपटसृष्टीतील एक सुप्रसिद्ध अभिनेता इरफान खान यांना तीन भावंडे आहेत, त्यापैकी दोन भाऊ आणि एक बहिण आहे.
इरफान खान जेव्हा एम.ए. चा अभ्यास करत होते तेव्हा त्यांना नॅशनल स्कूल ऑफ ड्रामामध्ये शिकण्यासाठी शिष्यवृत्ती मिळाली होती. इरफान खानला लहानपणापासूनच क्रिकेटचे खूप वेड होते आणि त्यांना लहानपणी एक क्रिकेटपटू व्हायचे होते. पण कुटूंबाकडून परवानगी न मिळाल्याने त्याला आपली लाईफ लाइन बदलावी लागली. तो बालपणात एक चांगला क्रिकेटपटू देखील होता. सीके नायडू ट्रॉफीमध्ये त्यांची निवड झाली होती. पण त्यांचा चित्रपटसृष्टीत प्रवेश निश्चित झाला.
इरफान खानने आपल्या कारकिर्दीची सुरुवात दूरदर्शन मालिकांमधून केली. त्याच्या सुरुवातीच्या काळात तो चाणक्य, भारत एक खोज, चंद्रकांत सारख्या मालिकांमध्ये दिसला आणि त्यांच्या फिल्मी करिअरची सुरूवात ‘सलाम बांबे’ या चित्रपटातून एका छोट्या भूमिकेतून झाली.
यानंतर त्याने बर्‍याच चित्रपटांमध्ये छोट्या-मोठ्या भूमिका केल्या, इरफान खानने १९८८ साली आलेल्या सलाम बॉम्बेमध्ये छोटी भूमिका साकारली होती, परंतु इरफानची ही भूमिका चित्रपटातून काढून टाकण्यात आली होती.
या चित्रपटानंतर इरफानने बर्‍याच चित्रपटांमध्ये छोट्या भूमिका केल्या पण २००१ मध्ये आलेल्या ‘द वॉरियर’ या चित्रपटाने त्याचे आयुष्य बदलून टाकले आणि या चित्रपटापासून त्यांना ओळख मिळाली. हा आसिफ कपाडिया दिग्दर्शित एक ब्रिटिश चित्रपट होता.
*आंतरराष्ट्रीय चित्रपट महोत्सवांमध्येही हा चित्रपट दाखविला गेला होता. या चित्रपटा नंतर इरफान २००४ मध्ये आलेल्या ‘हाशील ’ चित्रपटात नकारात्मक भूमिकेत दिसला होता. त्याने हे पात्र उत्कृष्टपणे बजावले होते. या चित्रपटातून इरफान खान याने आपली एक वेगळी ओळख निर्माण केली आहे. त्याने चाणक्य, भारत एक खोज, साराजहां हमारा, बनेगी अपनी बात, चंद्रकांत, श्रीकांत, स्टार बेस्टसेलर्स, मानो या ना मानो आदी मालिकांमध्ये कामे केली.*
*इरफानने मैत्रीण सुतापा सिकदारशी लग्न केले. त्यांना दोन मुले आहेत ज्यांचे नाव बाबिल आणि आर्याना आहे. असे म्हणतात की इरफान आपल्या पत्नीला ड्रामा स्कूल मध्ये भेटला. इरफानप्रमाणे सुतापासुद्धा या ड्रामा स्कूलची विद्यार्थिनी होती आणि येथून सुरु झालेली त्यांची मैत्री प्रेमात बदलली होती.*

*मार्च २०१८ मध्ये इरफानला त्याच्या आजारपणाविषयी कळालं होतं. त्याने स्वतः त्याच्या चाहत्यांना ही बातमी सोशल मिडीयाद्वारे दिली होती. इरफानने ट्वीट करत लिहिलं होतं, ”आयुष्यात अचानक असं काही होतं जे तुम्हाला खुप पुढे घेऊन जातं. माझ्या आयुष्यात गेले काही दिवस असंच काहीसं सुरु आहे. मला न्युरो इंडोक्राईन ट्युमर नावाचा आजार झाला आहे. मात्र माझ्याजवळ असलेल्या लोकांचं प्रेम आणि ताकदीने माझ्यात नवी उमेद जागी केली आहे.”*
*इरफानला त्याच्या आजारपणाचं कारण कळताच तो त्यावर उपचार घेण्यासाठी लंडनला गेला होता. तिथे त्याने एक वर्ष उपचार केल्यानंतर २०१९ मध्ये तो भारतात परत आला होता.*
*लंडनवरुन उपचार करुन आल्यानंतर इरफान अंग्रेजी मिडीयम सिनेमाच्या शूटसाठी राजस्थानमध्ये गेला होता आणि त्याच्या पुढच्या शेड्युलसाठी लंडनला गेला आणि तिथे गेल्यानंतर तो डॉक्टरांच्या संपर्कात देखील होता. मात्र, नियतीला जणू हे मान्य नव्हतं म्हणूनच एका दर्दी, प्रेमळ आणि निस्सीम कलाकाराला आज वयाच्या ५४ व्या वर्षी सोबत घेऊन गेली. चाहत्यांना एक गंभीर हास्य देत इरफाननेही या जगाचा निरोप घेतला.*
