लोकसभा निवडणुकीसाठी सर्वच पक्षांनी आपल्या अधिकृत उमेदवारांच्या नावांची यादी जाहीर केली आहे. भाजपच्या उमेदवारांच्या यादीची सर्वांनाच प्रतिक्षा करावी लागली. अखेर आज भाजपने १८२ जणांची अधिकृत यादी जाहीर केली. यामध्ये महाराष्ट्रातील १६ जणांची नावे जाहीर करण्यात आली. सर्वांचे लक्ष लागून राहिलेल्या पुणे लोकसभेच्या जागेच्या उमेदवारीची घोषणा आज होईल असे वाटले होते. परंतु, पुण्याच्या उमेदवाराची घोषणा न झाल्याने या जागेचा तिढा कायम असल्याचे चित्र पहायला मिळत आहे.विद्यमान खासदार अनिल शिरोळे यांच्यासह पालकमंत्री गिरीश बापट हेही पुणे शहरातून उमेदवारीसाठी प्रयत्नशील आहेत. दोघांचेही जोरदार प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत. दोघांनाही पक्षाच्या दिल्लीस्तरावरील नेत्यांबरोबर भेटीगाठी सुरू ठेवल्या आहेत. शिरोळे यांनी मागील पाच वर्षात पक्षात वरिष्ठ वतुर्ळावर चांगले संबध प्रस्थापित केले आहेत. बापट यांची भिस्त स्थानिक व राज्यानंतर आता राष्ट्रीय राजकारणात येण्याची इच्छा यावर आहे. मात्र, पक्षात गेल्या काही दिवसांमध्ये सुरू झालेल्या या हालचालींमुळे या दोन्ही उमेदवारांच्या प्रयत्नांना मर्यादा पडल्याचे स्पष्टपणे दिसत आहे.
काँग्रेसचा बालेकिल्ला समजल्या जाणाऱ्या या मतदारसंघावर भाजपाने आतापर्यंत दोन वेळा बाजी मारली आहे. पण ते दोन्ही उमेदवार दुसऱ्यांदा निवडून आले नाहीत व मतदारसंघही हातातून गेला. सन २०१४ मध्ये पुन्हा हा मतदारसंघ मोठ्या मताधिक्याने भाजपाकडे आला. आता तो कायम रहावा यासाठी पुर्ण प्रयत्न करण्यात येत आहेत. भाजपाचा उमेदवार दुसऱ्यांदा येत नाही हा इतिहास असेल तर दुसरा उमेदवार देऊन मतदारसंघ कायम ठेवायचा या विचारातूनच पक्षाबाहेरच्या पण प्रभावी असणाऱ्या उमेदवाराबाबत विचार करण्यात येत आहे.
