खोत यांनी यावेळी सांगितले की, औरंगाबाद जिल्ह्यातील दुष्काळी परिस्थितीच्या पाहणीदरम्यान चारा छावण्यांतील अडचणी लक्षात आल्या. छावण्यांतील जनावरांना खाद्य देण्यासाठी बकेट्स,टब दिल्यास पशुखाद्याची नासाडी होणार नाही. पाण्याचा काटकसरीने वापर व्हावा यासाठी प्लास्टिकच्या पाणीसाठवण टाक्या देण्याची गरजही लक्षात आली. त्याअनुषंगाने आणि इतर उपाययोजना करण्याची मागणी वित्तमंत्र्यांकडे करण्यात आली होती. वित्तमंत्र्यांनी या मागणीवर तात्काळ कार्यवाहीचे आदेश दिले. आजच याबाबत शासन निर्णय जारी करण्यात आला. याबाबत खोत यांनी वित्तमंत्र्यांचे आभार मानले.
चालू आर्थिक वर्षातील विधीमंडळ सदस्यांना अनुज्ञेय असलेल्या 25 लाख रुपये इतक्या आमदार स्थानिक विकास निधीतून दुष्काळ निवारणासाठी विविध 13 प्रकारची कामे करण्यास मान्यता देण्यात आली आहे. यामध्ये तात्पुरत्या नळ पाणीपुरवठा योजना, नवीन नळ जोडणी उपलब्ध करुन देणे, नळ पाणीपुरवठा योजनांच्या पाईपलाईन व टाकीच्या विशेष दुरुस्तीची कामे करणे, पाणीपुरवठा विहिरी खोल करणे, त्यामधील गाळ काढणे, नवीन विंधन विहिरी घेणे, साध्या विहिरी बांधणे, ट्यूबवेल घेणे, विंधन विहिरींची विशेष दुरुस्ती, खोलीकरण, विहिरी पुनर्जिवित करणे, पाणीपुरवठा योजनांसाठी फिडर बसवणे, नदीपात्रात बुडक्या घेणे अशा उपाययोजनांसाठी निधी खर्च करता येणार आहे.
