करोना प्रादुर्भावामुळे गेल्या पाच महिन्यांपासून ठप्प असलेल्या बाजारपेठेत गणेशोत्सवाच्या खरेदीसाठी येणाऱ्या ग्राहकांमुळे हालचाल दिसू लागली आहे. घरगुती सजावटीच्या साहित्यामध्ये चिनी बनावटीच्या वस्तूंचे प्रमाण अत्यल्प असल्याचे आढळत आहे. सार्वजनिक गणेशोत्सव साधेपणाने होत असला, तरी घरगुती गणपतीच्या सजावट साहित्य खरेदीसाठी मंडई, तुळशीबाग, रविवार पेठेतील बोहरी आळी भागात गर्दी होत आहे. बुधवार पेठेतील पासोडय़ा विठोबा मंदिराजवळ असलेल्या विद्युत साहित्य विक्रेत्यांच्या दुकानात गर्दी होत आहे. दर वर्षी गणेशोत्सवाची खरेदी पंधरा दिवस आधीच होते. यंदाच्या उत्सवावर करोनाचे सावट असल्याने बाजारात खरेदीसाठी फारशी गर्दी नाही. पीएमपी बंद असल्याने उपनगरातील तसेच परगावचे ग्राहक खरेदीसाठी तुळशीबागेमध्ये येऊ शकत नसल्याचा फटका बसल्याचे तुळशीबाग व्यापारी संघटनेचे सचिव नितीन पंडित यांनी सांगितले.
थर्माकोलच्या मखरावर बंदी असल्याने सध्या कागदाच्या पुठ्ठय़ांपासून तयार केलेले पर्यावरणपूरक मखर खरेदीसाठी उपलब्ध आहेत. बाजारात शनिवारवाडा, काल्पनिक मंदिर, कमळ आणि विविध आसनांतील मखरे विक्रीसाठी आहेत. टाळेबंदीमध्ये कारागीर गावी गेल्यामुळे मखरांची निर्मिती रोडावली. मात्र, रविवार पेठेसह शहरातील विविध मखर विक्रीच्या दुकानांमध्ये जेमतेम १० टक्के ग्राहक खरेदीला येत आहेत, असे व्यावसायिक अमृत गाला यांनी सांगितले. ग्राहक स्वदेशी बनावटीच्या विद्युतमाळांचा आग्रह धरत आहेत. ज्यांच्याकडे जुने साहित्य आहे, असे विक्रेते ग्राहकांची मागणी असेल, तर चिनी बनावटीच्या माळा देत असले तरी हे प्रमाण अत्यल्प आहे. बाजारपेठांमध्ये १५ ऑगस्टपासून चैतन्य निर्माण झाले आहे. गणेशोत्सवापर्यंत ५० टक्के ग्राहक खरेदीला येतील, असे पन्ना इलेक्ट्रिकल्सचे मिठालाल जैन यांनी सांगितले.
ठाण्यात चिनी वस्तूंना नकार
ठाण्याच्या बाजारपेठांमध्येही नवीन साहित्य विक्रीसाठी उपलब्ध नसल्याने विक्रेत्यांनी शिल्लक मालच विक्रीसाठी काढला आहे. त्यात ग्राहकांनी चिनी बनावटीच्या साहित्याकडे पाठ फिरवली असून यंदाच्या गणेशोत्सवासाठी लागणाऱ्या सजावट साहित्याच्या मागणीत ७५ टक्के घट झाल्याचे विक्रेत्यांनी सांगितले. चीनमधून पसरलेला करोना आणि सीमारेषेवरील संघर्ष यामुळे ग्राहकांनी चिनी वस्तूंकडे पाठ फिरवल्याचे सांगण्यात येते. यंदा चिनी वस्तूंची आयात न झाल्याने शिल्लक साहित्यच विक्रेत्यांनी चढय़ा किमतीत विक्रीस काढले आहे. काही आकर्षक चिनी बनावटीच्या साहित्याची जागा भारतीय बनावटीच्या वस्तूंनी घेतली आहे; परंतु ती तुलनेने महाग आहेत. चिनी वस्तू नको, तर भारतीय वस्तू महाग यामुळे ग्राहक खरेदी करताना हात आखडता घेत आहेत. मागणीत ७५ टक्क्यांनी घट झाली असून विक्रेत्यांचे मोठे नुकसान होत आहे, असे राजेश प्रजापती या विक्रेत्याने सांगितले.
