मी स्वतः प्रशासनात काम केलेला व्यक्ती आहे. प्रशासकीय सेवेत उच्चपदावर काम करतांना त्या व्यक्तीस अनेक प्रभावाना सामोरे जावे लागते, माझ्या अनुभवानुसार कायद्या, संविधानाच्या चाैकटीत राहून आपल्या सदसद्विविवेक बुद्धीला स्मरुन निर्णय घेतल्यास ते योग्य ठरतात. अधिकारप्राप्त झाले तरी ते अधिकार आपणांस जनतेच्या सेवेसाठी वापरायाचे आहेत याची मनाशी खुनगाठ बांधत प्रशासकीय अधिका-यांनी लोकसेवकाच्या भुमिकेतून कर्तव्य पार पाडाल्यासा त्यांचा कार्यकाल यशस्वी होतो असे मत अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेनलनाचे अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मीकांत देशमुख यांनी आज व्यक्त केले.
श्रीसाई प्रतिष्ठानतर्फे यंदाच्यावर्षी राष्ट्रपतीपदक प्राप्त झाल्याबद्दल एस.सी.पी. गणपत माडगुळकर यांना अखिल भारतीय मराठी साहित्य संमेनलनाचे अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मीकांत देशमुख
यांच्या हस्ते यंदाचा श्रीसाई गाैरव पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला त्यावेळी देशमुख बोलत होते.
यावेळी कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षस्थानी ज्येष्ठ विचारवंत प्रतिभाताई शाहू मोडक होत्या तर प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणुन महाराष्ट्र साहित्य परिषदेचे कार्यवाह अॅड. प्रमोद आ़डकर, माझी कारागृह उपमहानिरीक्षक धनाजीराव चाैधरी उपस्थित होते.
कार्यक्रमाच्या दुस-या सत्रात कवीतासंग्रहाचे प्रकाशन आणि निमंत्रित कवींचे रंग जीवनाचे कवी संमेलन संपन्न झाले. यावेळी आर.डी. मगर आणि अवंतिका नराळे यांचा विशेष सत्कार करण्यात आला. यावळी जालींदर ताराळकर, डाॅ. ममता जैन, डाॅ. वैशाली शिंदे, रोहिणी दोडमीसे, संगीता भुजबळ, अक्षय जैन, मालती सिमले, मकंदर ईमतीयाज, विशाल कांबळे, बेबी वाडेकर, अनिल सांगळ आदींना त्यांच्या सामाजीक, सांस्कृतीक, साहित्यीक योगदानाबद्दल देशमुख यांच्या हस्ते गाैरविण्यात आले.
देशमुख त्यांच्या मनोगतात म्हणाले, मिळालेल्या अधिकारांचा अधिकार गाजविण्याचा मोह अनेक अधिका-यांना होत असतो आणि कलांतराने त्याचे उन्मादात परीवर्तन होते. पोलीस अधिका-यांनी देखील त्यांच्या अधिकाराचा जनतेच्या भल्यासाठीच उपयोग करावा. नागरीकांना त्यांच्यावर झालेल्या अन्यायाला वाचा फोडण्यासाठी पोलीस चाैकी हक्काचे केंद्र वाटले पाहिजे. कायदा आणि सुव्यवस्था राखतच विकासच्या दिशेने प्रवास केला पाहिजे. कोणत्याही भागात होणारी गुंतवणूक त्या भागात असलेल्या कायदा आणि सुव्यवस्थेवर अवलंबून असते. गुन्ागहंची नोंद आणि गुन्हेगारास होणआरी शिक्षा याचे योग्य ते प्रमाण राखले जाणे आवश्यक आहे.पोलीसांनी आपण ज्या भागात काम करीत आहोत त्या भागीतील सामाजिक संदर्भ आणि सामाजिक आस्था लक्षात घेऊनच काम करायला पाहिजे.
